Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Legislative Budget–Writing Committee approved a 5.1% boost in education funding.

The K–12 budget is nearly similar to 2008's.

Representative Maxine Bell says that figure is 60% of the way back to where the state was prior to the economic downturn.

"When we went back to work this year, public education was the driver...We had a task force working on K–12 and they found that so many things that needed to be done better and changed. That has been the emphasis of everything," Rep. Bell.

Overall, representative bell has given this legislative session a grade of a B.
