Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Last week’s flooding is continuing to cause problems for Twin Falls residents.

Now, some are taking action against the city.

A handful of people have filed tort claims for damages to homes in the flooding.

The city is taking the claims seriously and is going through the proper steps to handle each case.

"We put the information together and then we send that to our insurance company. Our insurance company name is ICRMP. They go through and do an investigation and then make a determination of negligence or liability," said city risk manager Gretchen Scott.

Scott said it could take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks for the insurance company to complete its investigation.
