A ribbon cutting was held for the new Ag Science building at Burley High School on Friday.
Community members came out to show their support for the project and tour the new building.
It houses a classroom, wet lab and an indoor arena.
Lex Godfrey has been an agri-science instructor at the high school for over a decade.
He explains what new changes the building will allow, saying, "What that means is we will be able to bring animal experiences and food sciences experiences to our students on campus. This will eliminate that need for travel, improving time students will be able to spend on their curriculum."
Godfrey says the building is pushing $700,000 dollars.
He notes Burley High School was very supportive of the endeavor but credits private investors with the building’s completion.
The building was funded by local farmers, private businesses, and community members.
