Road Closed On Idaho Highway 24 Near Minidoka

Minidoka, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Starting Monday, crews with the Idaho Department of Transportation started work on replacing two railroad crossings near the city of Minidoka.

During the work, Idaho Highway 24 will be closed to all traffic as the railroad crossings entering the Landview Fertilizer receiving station is being reconstructed.

Eastern Idaho Railroad will be replacing the ties, rails and planks at the crossing and ITD will repair and pave the highway approaches.

Traffic will be detoured west of Minidoka on 800 East Road and on 900 North Road during the project.

A 35 miles per hour speed limit will be in effect on the detour route.

The entire project is scheduled to last about 5 days and everything should be opened back up on Friday.
