Road Reconstruction To Begin Sunday North of Shoshone

By Jeff Gomske

Shoshone, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) If you drive Highway 75 North of Shoshone, beginning Sunday July 21st you'll notice a small detour.

Traffic will shift to the former alignment of a short section as a curve is reconstructed.

Work will begin Sunday at the Big Wood River Bridge near milepost 77 about 2 miles North of Shoshone.

The construction is in response to concerns raised about the safety of traveling through a curve in the roadway.

During the roadwork, traffic will divert to the old road for about one half-mile.

Speed will be reduced to 35 MPH through the work zone.

Reconstruction is expected to be completed in about 2 weeks.
