Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) There's road work ahead on Blue Lakes Boulevard North between Pole Line Road and Falls Avenue.

Crews will be applying a micro seal between 8:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction while the work is going on. The two night project could begin as soon as this Wednesday.

Nathan Jerke with the Idaho Transportation Department office in Shoshone says, "It's very much like a chipseal is, like we do out on a lot of highways, except it's sand instead of larger gravel. It's premixed as a slurry, and it's place on the roadway, and about 3, 4, 5 hour's cure time, it's drivable. We can go out there and drive right on that surface."

Jerke says the last major Blue Lakes renovation project was five years ago. He says the micro seal treatment should help preserve the pavement for another ten years.
