Rock Creek Canyon Closed Through The Weekend
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Rock Creek Canyon remains closed through the weekend. Officials say the canyon might re–open early next week.
The Cave Canyon Fire is estimated to be 88,000 acres and is 78%contained. On Thursday, crews plan to concentrate on the west side to improve and hold control lines. The Deer Hollow Fire is 5,400 acres and 61% contained. Crews will continue to mop up and extinguish any hot spots on the east side of the blaze. An increase in fire behavior is likely due to the fuels being at record low moisture levels as well as the hot and dry weather. Comments ( |
