Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) I met up with the rodeo clown Slim Garner Saturday to talk about his act and keeping the crowds entertained.

From humble beginnings and twenty four years in the business, slim garner has come a long way to make a name for himself as one of the top clowns in the country.

"Well I'm actually second generation rodeo clown, so my dad clowned from the late 50's to the mid 70's, and I heard to many wild west stories growing up, so when I was 17 I had saliva hanging in my mouth and I said daddy I want to fight bulls and be a rodeo clown and mama has been crying ever since”, said Garner.

Slim uses many props to entertain and get the crowds energy up.
"Oh yeah, I carry the comedy acts, I like to blow stuff up, like my airplane that we are doing tonight”, said Garner.

Cowboys are used to riding a bucking horse, but slim is sure to give them a crazy adventure of their own.

He may have started fighting bulls, but now he can relax a bit.
"I don't fight bulls anymore, I just sit on my can and tell jokes, I'm the barrel man. I don't know if that's any better or not letting a one ton animal hit you at 30 MPH inside an aluminum trash can, which is basically what it is, ha ha ha”, said Garner.

This year's PRCA rodeo is Slims first time at the Twin Falls County Fair; however he looks forward to returning.

"Awe Twin Falls is great, we've had really great weather, except that one little thunder clapper on Friday night”, said Garner.

With all of his entertaining jokes and gimmicks, there is no doubt Twin Falls will be happy to see him back.

"Sane people don't do what we do for a living, ha ha ha”, said Garner
