Rotary Club Breakfast Sets New Record

By Aimee Burnett

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The yearly rotary club breakfast fundraiser is over and it was one for the record books.

A little over nine hundred people showed up at Morningside Elementary School for pancakes, hash browns, sausage, juice, milk and coffee.

Students and club members raised around $6,000.

That's more money than any other rotary club breakfast in the last twenty–five years.

"The school sold over 1,300 tickets and between Rotarians and some other friends in the community we sold about another two to three–hundred, so about 1,500, 1,600 tickets," said John Howard, Blue Lakes Rotary Club.

Tickets were four dollars a person.

All the food was donated by local businesses, such as Sysco, Falls Brand Independent Meat, Fred Meyer and Saran’s.

The proceeds will be used to replace some very old desks at the elementary school.
