Rupert, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Do you have old prescription drugs and live in Minidoka County?
The Rupert Police Department now offers citizens to drop off medicine that you do not use anymore.
Officers said improper disposal of unwanted prescription drugs can lead to several health hazards and can damage the environment.
The police department is hoping the drop box will help prevent those problems.
"The intent of the program is to give people out in the community a place to safely dispose pharmaceutical drugs they have stored in their house” said Officer Travis Freeman, Rupert Police Department.
You can drop off the prescription drugs between nine and five in the evening with no questions asked.
