Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The South Central Public Health District invited county commissioners and legislators to its annual Legislative Reception.

The health district uses the time to acknowledge staff accomplishments and reveal things the district has done in the past.

The officials get to see the upcoming budget and ask questions going into the upcoming legislative session.

"It's been an interesting year. We've had some changes with personnel as well as some of the cost for personnel like health insurance...We've had some very good successes, national awards for our staff, we've done a lot of infrastructure improvements to our buildings because we own our own buildings and we have to maintain them," adds Rene L. LeBlanc, District Director.

Four county commissioners sit on the Board of Health, while there are four appointees and one medical consultant.
