Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) SIRCOMM is looking for qualified applicants to fill some dispatcher vacancies.

There are currently 16 dispatchers, but the agency's director would like to reach 20.

Dispatchers will attend the post academy for training. You'll have to pass a background and go before an interview board.

"A dispatcher for a 911 service needs to be able to handle all kinds of difficult stressful situations. From performing CPR to people stuck in vehicles when they crash on the interstate. We are looking for quality people that are able to handle those situations to be able to give them information as needed as well as talk on the radio to those responding," adds John Moore, Director, SIRCOMM.

No experience is necessary and the agency is currently hiring. The interview process typically takes about two months.

The starting wage is $13.86 an hour and after a year's probation, wages increase.
