Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) For residents living the Buhl area the Fourth of July weekend means only one thing... Sagebrush Days.

This wednesday kicked off the annual two day city–wide party.

Around 400 people gathered at the West End Senior Center to take part in the annual Trout Feed.

With Buhl's claim to fame being the “Trout Capital of the World” the annual trout feed seems to be a fitting symbolic kickoff for the two full days of festivities.

On Thursday the fun will really get underway.

Starting early on the Fourth with a fun-run and pancake breakfast followed by the Sagebrush Days Parade.

For Buhl residents, Sagebrush Days means much more than just few fun days in the sun.

"Sagebrush days has become a tradition for many...many years. When you go to a big city they may have thing that come and go... but people come from all over the United States year after year after year because this is what makes it feel like home."
Said Heidi Detmer, Buhl Chamber of Commerce

The fun–run and pancake breakfast will start up at around 7.

Adults are $6 and children are $3.

Following that the parade will start up at 10:30.

Then the fun will move to the city park where activities are planned all day.

Sagebrush Days will come to an end with the annual Fourth of July fireworks show.

That will take place at the city park and should get underway at around sundown.
