Saturday 'Knight' Fever In Rupert
Rupert, Idaho (KMVT-TV) In 1977, there was Saturday Night Fever with John Travolta. But 2012 is known for Saturday Knight Fever Chess Club..Well, at least in Rupert.
This weekend marked the first ever Chess club event at Demary Memorial Library. Organizer Joshua Tatton says the club starts each meeting with a short lesson, followed by a few casual games. He says the kids learn quickly as the game stimulates the mind. As for the name of the group... "The Knight is one of the chess pieces so we'd figure we give it a catchy name and people would come play Chess with us," says Tatton.
