Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) People of all ages have trouble hearing.
Sometimes children have ear infections that don't clear up, and the fluid that's trapped prevents them from hearing effectively. As we get older, our ears don't work the way they used to, or we lose some of our hearing to the noise levels we're exposed to.
ENT Physician Dr. Kylan Peterson says, "They sometimes need to go and see their doctor first in order to get referred over to our office to evaluate their hearing. Sometimes they can make an appointment directly with our office to evaluate their hearing. Then we can take it from there, and figure out what is going on."
Hearing loss in young people may cause speech problems. Your ear doctor can determine if hearing aids will help you, or not. For more information, call (208) 814-7350.
