Scarrow Meats Among The Stops On Ag Tour
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) More than 50 people visited Scarrow Meats Friday in Jerome.
It's all part of an ag tour that began in the morning. Last year featured sugar beats, while Friday was all about the beef industry. They usually conduct these tours in the Fall during Harvest. Fall is also the market time for livestock industries, according to officials. But for the group, these opportunities provide insight into this field. "Our group is trying to focus on the farm to the plate atmosphere and we love to have more people who want to learn more about where their food comes from on these tours. We have bankers, real estate people, we have a menageries of people here today from different industries," adds John Pitz, Co-Chair, Chamber Ag Committee.
