Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) This Saturday, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from across Twin Falls will begin the process of a 2 week long canned food drive designed to bring the pick up to you.

Over the past few years, Scouting for Food has brought in hundreds of thousands of pounds of canned and boxed food for local food pantries.

And with the holiday season just around the corner the Scouts felt like it was that time again to get the drive going.

Starting this Saturday Cub Scouts across Twin Falls will be going door to door to explain the food drive and to also deliver special grocery bags that interested parties can fill up.

“We are striving to gather 100,000 cans. And if every household in the Twin Falls area was to donate 4 or 5 cans, minimum. Then we could easily hit that mark.”

Now the bag will be delivered this Saturday the 27th.

Then on November 3rd, the Scouts will again be going door to door picking up the bags of food.

Giving you ample time to go through your cupboards and find those 4 or 5 cans to donate to some very need families.
