Seal Coat On I-84 In Eastern Cassia County Delayed Until August 5

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) – Due to the emergency repairs taking place on Interstate 84 near the Juniper Rest Area, the seal coat project near Sublett scheduled to begin today has been delayed.
The Idaho Transportation Department said the work was expected to begin today on the eastbound lanes of I-84 between the Idahome and Sublett interchanges. The contractor for both portions of work, Western Construction Inc., of Boise, chose to delay the seal coat due to equipment and scheduling conflicts for the pair of projects.
The work will begin instead on Aug. 5. Once begun, the seal coat and traffic impacts are expected to last about four days.
