UPDATE: Girl Dies From Drowning Near Richfield

UPDATE: Richfield, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A four year old has passed away after drowning near Richfield.

The Twin Falls Coroner pronounced the little girl dead, according to second hand reports received by Lincoln County.

It all happened when a family enjoying the afternoon near the Richfield Canal, a branch of the Little Wood River – couldn't find their little girl.
They called 911.

Lincoln County sheriff's deputies, the local Quick Response Unit, and the Richfield Fire Department responded.

They located the four year old girl on the bank of the river, who didn't respond to the emergency workers.

"The quick response unit started doing CPR. Air St. Luke's was called and she was airlifted to St. Luke's Magic Valley," adds Sheriff Kevin Ellis, Lincoln County.

The incident happened about half a mile west of the bridge at the south end of Richfield.
