Fedex semi truck slides off Interstate 84

EDEN, ID (KMVT-TV) EDEN, ID (KMVT) Drivers on Interstate 84 had to slow down after a semi truck and trailer ended up in the barrow pit. About 5:30 this morning, a Fedex truck and trailer was eastbound on I-84 near Eden.

Captain Jack Johnson of the Jerome County Sheriff's Office says the trailer drifted off the road just enough to pull the rest of the truck into the barrow pit. The accident happened about half a mile west of the Traveler's Oasis.

The slow eastbound lane of the interstate was blocked until early this afternoon.

Workers transferred the contents of the truck that had landed on its right side so the packages could be delivered. The accident is being investigated by the Jerome County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho State Police.
