Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A few classes were held at the Twin Falls Senior Center designed to get local seniors thinking about their driving habits and also how to better control their eating habits during the holiday season.

The first class was the AARP Drivers Safety Course.

The driver safety refresher class teaches drivers, over the age of 50, how to better protect themselves on the road and in their insurance policies.

“We point out all of the points that when we grow older, the things that cause our biggest problems, our eyesight, our hearing and our flexibility. We give strategies to overcome those things and keep us more safe.” Said Class instructor, Rob Killgore

At the same time the Drivers Safety class was being held a special getting through the feasting season lecture took place.

There, speakers were able to sit down with a few local senior citizens to talk about the upcoming holiday season feasting.

A few of the issues they discussed was proper portion control, eating the right foods, and staying active during the colder months.
