Senior Project Benefits Salvation Army
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) There are many senior projects out there and this one is looking to help benefit a non–profit organization.
A number of participants jumped on board to do the 'Running on Empty 5K'.
Organized by Erica Huett, she decided to help the national Salvation Army Food Bank.
"I'm hoping to raise some money and some awareness that there is some people in our community that don't have as much as we do and where the economy has not been doing as good, as we though it'd be that people are suffering and not getting food," adds Huett.
The race began and finished at the Boys and Girls Club in Twin Falls.
Despite a small turnout, Huett said some of the participants also donated some food.
