Sens. Crapo And Risch Join Efforts To Save Airport Towers

Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Senators Risch and Crapo have joined on board to save the FAA contract tower program.

The Idaho senators signed on as co–sponsors to legislation that will be introduced. Congressmen Labrador and Simpson are co–sponsoring similar legislation in the House.

Meanwhile, the Friedman Memorial Airport Board authorized funding for 30 days in its commitment to keep the Hailey tower open.

Plus, the group directed the airport staff to investigate any temporary funding through the summer and beyond. The board is also pursuing litigation if necessary.
