Sheepherder Sculpture Now Up In Hagerman

By Jay Michaels

Hagerman, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) After two years of planning and hard work, a new bronze sculpture has been installed in Hagerman.

The new display is just northeast of the Mormon church on the north end of town. It's to honor the generations of sheep herders in the Hagerman area.

Sculptor Danny Edwards says, "I know from what we had the other day when we were installing it, my goodness, there were people all around, who were so excited about the project."

Workers are continuing to work on the landscaping, which will include grass and sprinklers, as well as sand and boulders along the perimeter of the park. The grand opening and dedication will be held June 29th.
