Shooting Shakes Twin Falls Neighborhood

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Two men were involved in some sort of disagreement Saturday night. The disagreement ended with one in the hospital, one in jail and a neighborhood shaken up after a shooting.

"Not in this immediate neighborhood. A few streets over maybe either way, but no this is the first time right in this immediate neighborhood that we've actually heard the shots and then see the police come," said a concerned neighborhood resident.

Twin Falls police are trying to piece the puzzle together.

"At first I heard what I thought was fireworks and then I thought to myself, well why would they be going off now. They sound a little bit more distinct as gun shots," said Chad Wells.

Police have filed charges against Juan Jimenez following the shooting. He has been charged with aggravated battery and is being held in the twin falls county jail. The name of the victim in the shooting has not been released. The victim is listed in stable condition at St. Luke’s Magic Valley.

"I still feel pretty safe. I know that neighborhoods can have problems anywhere, whether you are in the upper class or low class so I feel safe," said Chad Wells.

A normally quiet neighborhood turned into a crime scene.
