Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Fire and medic crews responded to a multi alarm fire at 669 Locust St in Twin Falls Saturday afternoon.

The fire was reported at approximately 2:15 p.m. Several engine companies battled the fire as a large plume of black smoke was visible for miles. The fire caused police to shut down Locust Street South between Osterloh and Eldridge for several hours.

According to eyewitnesses, some nearby burning brush got out of control and caught the shop on fire.

Brian Lopez lives next door and came home to find his neighbor’s shop completely engulfed in flames. “I come pulling up from my mom and dad’s house and just started seeing his shop back here on fire getting very very close to my laundry room back there. And I got really scared so I called the fire department and I grabbed the hose and started spraying everything over there and they showed up here in about five minutes and thankfully got the fire under control.”

The Twin Falls Fire Department tells us the structure and contents were a complete loss. There is no word on what the total amount of loss was. No injuries were reported.
