SHOSHONE, IDAHO (KMVT-TV) The 25th Annual Shoshone Arts in the Park will be held on July 14th & 15th at the Lincoln County Courthouse lawn in Shoshone, Idaho. This year’s event will feature jewelry, authors and arts and craft vendors from all over the region. The Idaho Operation Lifesaver Trolley will be on hand to give free trolley rides around Shoshone. A Petting Zoo and kid activities will be available. This year the sidewalk art contest is back for all ages to compete in. The annual Quilt and Fiber show will take place in the Lincoln County Historical Museum located north of the courthouse. Arts in the Park will begin on Saturday at 9am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Other events along with Shoshone Arts in the Park will be the Idaho State Old-Time Fiddlers Championship presented by Fiddlers Inc. on Saturday starting at 9am. This contest features contestants from all over the state of Idaho and giving them a chance to compete for a spot at the 2013 National Old-time Fiddle Contest held in Weiser, Idaho. Also held on Saturday will be a 3 on 3 basketball tournament put on by the Oasis Christian Fellowship Church. Sunday events begin at 7am with a Community breakfast start and a Church service beginning at 9am all put on by the Oasis Christian Fellowship Church. Starting at 10am and continuing all day will be the Mannie Shaw Jamboree which features musicians and bands from around the area to help celebrate the legacy of Mannie Shaw. Come and help us celebrate with the great music and stories.
