Fairfield, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Solider Mountain is open for the season.

This marks the first day of skiing under the mountain's new ownership since Bruce Willis donated the mountain earlier this year.

In the last 36 hours, Soldier Mountain received more than 26 inches of snow at the base, which will give opening day skiers more than plenty of fresh powder to bury their skis in.
