Skiers Up 2% At Sun Valley

Sun Valley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Sun Valley ski season came to an end this past weekend after a successful year.

There were 144 days to ski this season, the same as the year before.
Yet the skier count increased by 2%.

The ski destination started with a solid amount of snow, but then tapered off by February.

What the resort also noticed, more positive comments from its winter visitors.

"Sun Valley does get visitors from all over the country. 80% are from the West Coast, but still our most important market to us is Idaho. 38% of the skiers this year come from Idaho and that's Boise, Ada County and it's the Magic Valley. We appreciate their support," adds Jack Sibbach, Sun Valley Resort.

Now a different sport is gearing up this spring – golf. On Wednesday, April 24th, Sun Valley Resort's White Cloud Golf Course will open for the season.

From April 24th through May 3rd, golfers are invited to a free nine–hole replay on the course.
