SBA Helping Businesses Impacted By Fire
San Francisco, California ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Help may be coming to businesses impacted by the Beaver Creek and Elk Complex fires.
The Small Business Administration is offering low–interest working capital federal disaster loans to businesses that were economically affected.
Officials say that the SBA acted on its own after receiving a request from Governor "Butch" Otter.
Disaster assistance is available in Blaine, Elmore as well as other local counties including as Camas, Cassia, Lincoln and Minidoka.
Eligibility is only based on the financial impact, not property damage.
There are two SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Centers. One is at the Hailey City Hall. It's open from Monday through Friday until October 10th. The other is at the Idaho Department of Labor in Mountain Home. This is also open Monday through Friday, also until October 10th.
