Small Crowd Participates In Twin Falls County Auction
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A number of Twin Falls County properties ended up on the auction block on Thursday.
The Twin Falls County Commissioners conducted the annual auction on the courthouse steps in front of a small audience.
The properties range in size and are scattered throughout the county from Murtaugh to Buhl.
The county takes the properties in May and the party of interest can redeem them until they're sold on the courthouse steps.
Thursday's auction is for the taxes that are owed on a three–year basis.
Terry Kramer, Twin Falls County Commissioner says, "the economy has given us more properties to sell so we've gone from three or four properties once I first became commissioner, to almost 20 this year."
Commissioner Kramer adds that if a property doesn't receive a bid, those properties will become part of an inventory list.
And you can view the list at the treasurer's office.
