Snow Could Cause Hazardous Driving Conditions Through Monday

Southern Idaho (KMVT-TV) Snow could cause hazardous driving conditions Sunday and Monday for Holiday travelers. A weather system will cause snow to begin to impact parts of Southern Idaho tonight and Sunday morning with a second system moving in Sunday evening.

Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for Lincoln, Minidoka and Cassia Counties through 5:00 p.m. on Monday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for Blaine County including Sun Valley, Ketchum, Hailey and Bellevue.

2-3" of snow is expected in the Burley area through Monday with 2-4" of snow possible in Rupert and Shoshone. Higher amounts are possible in the South Hills. Heavier snow is likely in the Wood River Valley with 6-10" of snow possible in the Sun Valley and Hailey areas.

Snow and gusty winds could cause problems on area roads.

KMVT's Weather Authority's Brandon Redmond is also forecasting snow in the Magic Valley. He said that 1-2" of snow is possible in Twin Falls with 2-3" of snow possible in Gooding and in Jerome.
