South Central Idaho Housing Council Holds Meeting
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The South Central Idaho Housing Council met Tuesday morning.
Those in attendance from the eight different county service areas facilitated the coordination, communication, and cooperation of housing.
They also discussed the supportive and public services the SCIHC makes available while working with people who are struggling with housing stability and homelessness.
Deborah Gabardi, Executive Director of the Crisis Center Magic Valley, says that it's difficult to efficiently count the number of homeless in the Magic Valley due to so many homeless finding shelter while couch surfing.
"It's near and dear to my heart because I see so many people that I work with at the Crisis Center that have no resources and no ability to go into permanent or even motel or hotel different types of housing. So I just see so many vulnerable adults," she explains.
Meetings for the SCIHC are held every third Tuesday of the month.
