HAILEY, ID (KMVT-TV) - One hidden gem in the Southern Idaho skiing community kicked off yet another year in business this afternoon.

Rotarun winter recreation area, located 3 miles west of Hailey off of Croy Creek Road, has been in business for the past 6 decades serving the communities of Hailey and Sun Valley ever since.

Sunday, in celebration of yet another year in business, the small ski hill offered a special free day of skiing for anyone looking to hit the slopes.

And new to the hill this year is a smaller handle–tow lift, which gives skiers and boarders more access to the hill.

"Rotarun is one of the best little ski hill and it's a best kept secret in the state of Idaho. Everybody is welcomed, we have affordable prices that are orientated to families and it's a wonderful feel, it's a pleasant place to be. People come out here and you just feel good". Said Joan Davies, Board Member of Rotarun Ski Hill.

Rotarun is now open on Wednesdays through Fridays for night skiing, starting at 6 and going until 9.

And is also open on Saturday from 10 in the morning till 4 afternoon. And again on Sunday from noon until 4.

Season passes for Rotarun are $50 for juniors, $75 for adults, and $150 for families.

Daily Lift tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids ages 6 to 15 and kids under 5 are free.
