Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) About 20 special needs students at Canyon Ridge High School held a program this afternoon celebrating Mothers Day.

Moms, dads, and brothers and sisters joined the party. The group sang songs and recited poems honoring their mothers.

One mom talked about what it's like to raise a special needs child.

Dawn Clark says, "This is 18 years of just your normal, and you adapt, you have other children. You just make life as normal as you can be. And when things come up, you just deal with them, to stay strong and know that you're not alone."

In addition to singing songs like "The Hokey Pokey," the students and their families took part in an ice cream social, which proved to be the most popular part of today's event.
