Stage 1 Fire Restrictions Instituted
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Due to the high fire danger in many parts of south central Idaho, the Bureau of Land Management is instituting Stage 1 Fire Restrictions on state and federally managed lands, roads, and trails south of Highway 20 to the Utah and Nevada border.
Those areas include all of Twin Falls, Lincoln, Cassia, Minidoka, Jerome and Gooding Counties, parts of Blaine and Camas Counties that fall south of Highway 20, and parts of Oneida and Power County in the Minidoka Ranger District of the Sawtooth National Forest. “You only can have a campfire in a designated campfire ring at a recreation site. As well, smoking is only allowed in vehicles or at a recreation site that has been clear of debris and things like that. You need a three feet circumference,” said Kyli Gough, BLM spokesperson.
