State Police Honor Fallen Trooper
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Idaho State Police is dedicating one of its offices to a fallen trooper.
Trooper Fontaine Cooper was the first trooper killed in the line of duty. Back in 1935 Cooper and Twin Falls County Deputy Sheriff Henry Givins pulled a car over that had been used in a kidnapping in Tacoma, Washington a few days earlier. Both Givins and Cooper were killed trying to apprehend the kidnapper. ISP dedicated the Jerome District Four office in memory of Fontaine Cooper Friday. Comments ( |
