Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Twin Falls County Republicans hosted a candidates forum at the Perkins restaurant. Republicans running for office who showed up to talk to local voters included Representatives Stephen Hartgen and Clark Kauffman, along with State Senators Lee Heider and Jim Patrick.

Representative Maxine Bell, (R) District 25-A, says, "We're a citizen legislature. We're only in Boise two or three months, but the rest of the time, we should be available all the time to those whose lives we affect by those two or three months when we're in Boise."

Bell says she wants to know what problems people are dealing with "before" she goes to the legislature each January. She says one person who talks to her might represent 200 other people dealing with the same problem.
