Heyburn, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Students at Mount Harrison High School in Heyburn are tackling the myths associated with drug use.

All this week is National Drug Facts week across the nation.

Thanks to a one thousand dollar grant from the National Institute of Health, all this week students at the alternative high school are taking part in group discussions and listening to guest speakers.

"This week is National Drug Facts Week. And that is a week through the National Institute of Health dedicated to the facts of drugs and alcohol and what's actually happening and getting those exact facts to teens," explains Adria Mansoner, health education specialist.

The students will spend the rest of the week discussing the facts of drug use.

Thursday the Idaho State Police will talk with the students.

Then on Friday a guest speaker will come in and discuss the impacts of alcohol use over a lifetime.
