Students Take Part In Cardboard Box Derby

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Students from Lighthouse Elementary took part in the Fourth Annual Cardboard Box Derby Wednesday afternoon.

On the Lions’ football field, the kids lined up to show off their "under the sea" themed boxes for the judges.

Just like any other derby with speed and spills, it was a fun-filled day for the whole family.

The prizes included most creative and the fastest runners for each age group.

"So this is kind of our culmination of the end of the school year. We have a track and field day in the morning, and then it's culminated by this Cardboard Box Derby. It's really a hoot, and as you can see, it's really a fun way to end the school year," explains Allison Hamilton, Lighthouse Elementary Principal.

This year's boxes were graciously donated by Chobani.
