Sun Valley, Idaho (KMVT-KSVT)
Filmmakers, directors and residents from all over Idaho gathered to watch documentaries and new films.
It's also a wonderful festival because it brings the world to Sun Valley and shows what women and children are doing and this year's theme women and education can really be seen through the films we have.
The festival celebrates international women's day with a slate of films at the Sun Valley opera house.
Filmmaker Jeremy Teicher, presented his student academy award nominated short film, "this is us".
Teicher thinks that his films will give a different perspective on women in different societies.
It feels great to be here at the Family of Women Film Festival because it's a really passionate community and a very small but focused group that can watch the film and really connect with the message of the story.
Plasse is pleased to see the turnout each year grow, but wants to keep the festival small.
Each year more and more people find it want to contribute to it, want to be a part of it, it's getting harder and harder to select films.
Getting the Sun Valley community aware of the world around them.
