Sustainability Fair Held At CSI

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Tuesday is Earth Day, and local agencies are taking this tradition to a new level.

Tuesday's sustainability fair at CSI demonstrates the effort being put forth to sustain Twin Falls.

The college and the City of Twin Falls partnered to put the event together, along with the vast support of local businesses.

Some of the highlights, Hilex Poly gave a new Raleigh bicycle to the person who brought in the most plastic bags.

Meanwhile, the city is proud of its commitment to recycling.

"Several years ago, we made the change from a recycling program where we had the bins to a single stream. The response from the community has been incredible. We've expanded that actually into the parks, where we have bins in the parks now for recyclables, so I think that's one of the areas we're most proud of," Twin Falls Mayor Don Hall says.

Tuesday night at 7, catch a free showing of the documentary, "Earth Days" in Room 119 of the Fine Arts Building.
