T.F. Food Trucks: A Change To The Code
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The city of Twin Falls is looking to clarify one code that would specifically allow food trucks to park and serve.
Currently food trucks receive a permit from the city for the ability to drive around serving their food.
But recently trucks have got into the habit of parking in one location... And serving customers all day long.
The city is aware that this practice is on-going, but instead of cracking down on the violation.
The city has decided to make changes to the current code that would then allow this to take place.
"Our code actually was drafted for that kind of a scenario where a truck parks on a private property and then sells to customers coming to the truck. And you know, we got to the point to eventually where we just needed to address it."
Said Twin Falls Community Development Director, Mitch Humble.
The city is currently making amendments to the code.
And will then go to the City Council for a final approval on January 6th.
