TF Woman Battling Cancer Thanks Local Heroes

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A Twin Falls woman battling breast cancer would like to say thanks to a local group of who she calls, heroes.

Sandra Hamman has Stage 2 breast cancer, is a single mother with four boys, two of whom have disabilities.

Life isn't easy for Mamman, but when her car needed some mechanical work...a local pastor got the ball rolling.

Pastor James Lastinger of the Calvary Tabernacle and the rest of the heroes came to Hammann's rescue.

"We fixed the car at no cost to her at all, parts and labor. And actually our auto parts supplier which is Auto Zone provided all the parts for free as well, it was just a very, very wonderful thing," adds Thomas Tillotson, Tillotson's Car Care and Repair.

Amanda Schmidt, also of Tillotson's adds, "they showed up with the parts with a receipt that was zero which means I knew they had paid for the parts."

"There's so much going on in this world and we have heroes overseas, but we have heroes in this town too and for that, I'm grateful," adds Hammann.
