Temporary Visitor Center Now Open
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The temporary visitor center is now open in Twin Falls.
If you want to check out the visitor center, you just have to look across the parking lot. This trailer is the new temporary site, while demolition of the old building and bathroom starts this week.
Then crews will begin construction on a new facility, which will feature more room. Plus, the Chamber of Commerce and Southern Idaho Tourism will be housed there.
"it will have an interpretive center which we desperately need, talking about the canyon, the Chinese miners, the Bonneville Flood, the Oregon Trail, and this is what people are interested about when they come to the area," explains Judy Harr, Visitor Center Coordinator.
The temporary visitor center is open from 9 to 5, seven days a week.
