The 4-H Youth Select Horse Sale Helps Disabled Youth

By Jeff Gomske

Shoshone, Idaho ( KMVT–TV / KTWT-TV ) The 4–H youth met together in Shoshone Saturday morning to benefit disabled youth.

The 'Youth Select Horse Sale' allowed people a chance to purchase a horse and help a great cause.

The horses were sold in beginner, intermediate and advanced, depending on the rider’s abilities.

It also gave the 4–H youth a chance to become involved.

Several were on hand to do their part, and some came with a specific purpose.

All the horses sold were assured to be safe, sane and sound.

All the proceeds went back into the horse community in two different ways.

Half went to Lincoln County to fund clinics and workshops, the other half goes to 'Exceptional Rodeo' for disabled youth.

Last year the money helped to sponsor the awards as well as helping to assist the Exceptional Rodeo youth.

They already have plans for next year to be held on the last Saturday of March, 2014.
