The 4th Annual Bed Races Held In Downtown Twin Falls Saturday

By Jeff Gomske

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Locals lined the streets of downtown Twin Falls for a good cause and a good laugh on Saturday.

They attended the 4th annual Magic Valley Bed Races in Historic downtown.

The races were originally organized as a fresh and new way to raise money for a good cause.

The event benefits the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Around 12 teams gathered this year to race down Main Street pushing a bed.

Many teams really got into the spirit by not just pushing, but dressing up as well.

The event is near and dear to the organizers as M.S. has made an impact on their lives.

"My wife has Multiple Sclerosis, we just started fundraising and it seemed like this was kind of a fun thing to do plus help support downtown and makes it good for everybody” says event organizer John Fisher.

They are hoping to raise close to $4,500 this year.

Plans are already in place to do it again next year.
