Ketchum, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - This weekend, “The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr” is finishing up its week long run at the NexStage Theater. You can tell by the play's spelling, it is a little different than your average Shakespeare performance. The play has enjoyed a full house all week and is put on by the Sun Valley Performing Arts, the non-profit group who owns the theater.

“It’s the Sun Valley Shakespeare Festival’s only production this year, and it’s very, very funny. Starring three local guys who actually are all bartenders, but they’re all actors as well,” said Prue Hemmings from the Sun Valley Performing Arts.

People around town might better know Steve D'Smith, Matt Gorby, and Will Hemmings as popular local bartenders. "The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr” is an opportunity to see them in a very different setting.

“’The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr.' It was written by the Reduced Shakespeare Company and it’s been performed all over the world, including London, where I believe Shakespeare did a couple of plays himself back in the day. It’s just three actors getting up, pretending to be like Shakespeare aficionados, and rifling through the entire canon of William Shakespeare in two hours,” said actor, Matt Gorby.

The play covers Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, and tragedies in hilarious and unexpected ways. It is guaranteed to make you laugh and you might learn something new along the way.
