Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) They say all good things must come to an end, and the same goes for Windows XP.
As of April 8th, the operating system is no longer being supported by Microsoft.
Computers running XP will still work, but no new updates will be available.
This means new printers, drivers and new software will not run on the older machines.
Security will also be a big issue; it is recommended that you no longer use online banking and shopping.
Suzanne Hawkins of Computer Connection explains more…
"One of the biggest problems we are seeing with Windows XP is Internet Explorer 8 is the most current browser you can run, and most websites now are being written to work with 10 or 11. Don't panic; your machine is going to keep working, but it is really time to start looking and know that you are going to have to replace those machines."
