By Jay Michaels

Carey, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The total population for the town of Carey is just over 600 people. But this is where you'll find the Blaine County Fairgrounds, and this week is when you'll find plenty of people here for the county fair.

Laurie Fiscus, Blaine County Fair Board Member, says, "We're kind of small, it's kind of a little bit of America here that you can't find in a lot of other fairs. We'll have some food vendors and some craft vendors, and we're going to have a Family Fun Day on Friday."

The swine, dog, rabbit, and poultry shows in Carey will take place Thursday, and the ATV rodeo will begin at 8:00 p.m. that night. Family Fun Day will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the kids' rodeo at 7 o'clock.

Fiscus says, "There's a little kids rodeo Friday evening. Saturday the round robin's in the morning, there's a luncheon for everyone."

Saturday's round robin in Carey will be at 10:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at 12 noon. The market animal sale takes place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the rodeo at 8 o'clock that night.

Fiscus says, "We have a DJ that comes in to and they play music and line dance. It just gives you that small town feeling of a small town fair."

On Friday's "Family Fun Day" at the Blaine County Fair in Carey, kids can buy a wristband for $7 and ride all the rides they want.
